Wide selection of transient suppressors in stock at
NTE Electronics and available through BA-Electronics.
The transient suppressor line from NTE provides two different types of technology designed to protect electronic circuits. Our traditional metal oxide varistors (MOVs) have a range of 45 to 1240 volts clamping and feature high transient current capability--some up to 6500 amps, low standby currents and low capacitance.
Our overvoltage PN junction types are used where fast-clamping speed is critical. These devices are designed to protect voltage sensitive components from high-voltage, high energy transients. Excellent clamping capability, high surge capability, low zener impedance and fast response time make these devices ideal for use in communications systems, numerical controls, process controls, medical equipment, business machines, power supplies, and many other industrial/consumer applications. Included in this group is a low voltage type suited for CMOS and bipolar IC protection. All NTE overvoltage PN junction types have a peak power rating of 1500 watts. For more information
